Custom Jewelry Design

Are you dreaming of your own one-of-a-kind, signature piece of jewelry?  Perhaps you can visualize it, but are disappointed to find no store or catalog offers it.  Could there be an heirloom gemstone that you’d love to wear as a ring on your finger or as a pendant around your neck?  Maybe there’s an existing piece you have, but in order to love it, it needs to be refined to your taste.

Jewelry design truly is an art form and that is why Barbara Oliver believes that jewelry should be as unique as the individual wearing it.  Based on this belief, we offer custom jewelry design services.

You may set up an appointment to sit down with Barbara Oliver in person at our cozy, relaxed Williamsville studio and explain your exact needs and desires to her.  If you have a drawing, photograph, etc, bring it along.  Our design services include:

• Sketches of your jewelry designs and ideas by graduate gemologist Barbara Oliver.
• A hand-carved wax model for you to see and try on.  Find that you want it thicker?  Thinner?  Higher or lower?  At this point, any changes you desire are made.
• Casting in precious metal of choice based on your approved wax model.
• Setting of gemstones in place.
• Hand finishing and expert polishing—all done by our master craftsman.
• A piece that is uniquely yours—it is never duplicated.

The sketch-to-model phase usually takes about two weeks.  Finishing and assembly take a little longer depending on the unique needs of your design.
